This rug is from the western region of Afghanistan. It is something special - especially at this price.

It is made from local wool, mainly flat weave with some parts pile (hence it is described as mixed technique).

It is dyed with vegetable dyes which give it an amazingly rich golden look.

The parts which are have carpet pile are at a density of about 100kpsi, and the rest of the carpet is at a similar complexity.
